Queen of the Woodlands 2010- Contestants

The Queen of the Woodlands competition will take place on Saturday night 31st July in Loughglynn Community Centre.

This year will see 12 beautiful young ladies competing for the title of “Queen of the Woodlands 2010”. The evening will begin for the contestants at 6pm where they will be hosted to a cheese and wine party and their formal interviews will take place.

At 9pm they will take to the stage to be interviewed by Gerry Glennon, compere on the night. At 12 midnight the winner will be crowned by last year’s winner, Niamh Ward and will receive a cheque from Anthony Cahill Super Valu, Castlerea, a beauty hamper sponsored by Mc Anennas Ballaghaderren, a portrait from Image Point Photography, Flowers sponsored by Loretta Bergin, Advantage Vogue, Ballaghaderren, as well as numerous other gifts.

The Queen of the Woodlands festival is part of the Loughglynn Music Festival which is one of the most popular summer music festivals in the west of Ireland. This year it has yet again only the top bands. Friday 30th July opening to Mick Denver, Saturday 31st night Queen of the Woodlands Competition at 9pm followed by dancing to the Conquerors. Sunday August 1st, dancing to Robert Mizzell, Monday August 2nd dancing to Jimmy Buckley. Late bar each night during festival. Special family rate before 11pm will apply for night of Queen of the Woodlands.

We would ask relatives, friends and neighbours of the girls to give them your support on the night.
